Currently working as director and clinical administrator in department of Orthopaedics in W Pratiksha hospital, Gurgaon. Prior to this I was heading the unit in Fortis memorial research institute in Gurgaon from August 2012 till June 2016.
Dr. Hemant Sharma has over 21 years of experience (10 years in India and 11 years in England) in the field of orthopaedic and is a certified Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Dr. Hemant Sharma specializes in adult reconstructive orthopaedic, joint replacements, tumour and musculoskeletal problems in post-polio and cerebral palsy.
Dr. Hemant Sharma does a lot of redo-trauma cases and sports injuries which involve single or multiple ligament reconstructions and joint saving procedures in younger patients with arthritis.
He also operates on teenagers with problems like hip dysplasia, when the hip doesn’t fit properly into the socket or slipped capital femoral epiphysis or SCFE when the growth plate slips off the end of the thighbone.
Dr. Sharma also has significant experience in patients with sickle cell disease where joints are damaged.
